Pros
  • Incredibly smart coworkers
  • Great industry product
  • Opportunities to lead projects
  • Good pay
Cons

Terrible work culture, working weekends and 40+ hour weeks very typical. No flexibility for remote work, coworkers being forced to choose either to relocate or get laid off. Sloppy leadership. Will need to step on others' toes in order to climb the ladder. Too slow to work on things that matter. No 401K match. No lunch. Only 5 sick days.

Advice to Management

Leadership and Peter need to stop micromanaging and trust the people they hired to do their jobs.

Peter treats those around him like they are children and he is disrespectful.

The company is positioned as a modern luxury brand, but management is run by folk that are extremely old-fashioned.

The company advertises itself as tech-leading and a Silicon Valley tech company, but it’s really run more like a legacy automotive company with slow processes.

5 days in office is brutal. Many folks at the company are upset, and the company loses out on a lot of talent when limiting the area from which they hire.

Advice:

  • Listen to your employees; happy employees are the best employees.
  • Be open to new ideas, as that will catapult Lucid to be truly cutting edge and industry-leading.
  • Stop micromanaging and trust your employees more.
  • Get rid of the petty politics and be kinder to one another. That’s how teams go far.
