It doesn't matter if what you did for six months doesn't actually move the overall project forward.

Cons: If you want to work well with other groups and build a big picture about future goals, if you want to make Meta a better place for the world, if you care about your users... you're doomed. You're just making it easier for them to do more damage before the regulators show up.
