Some of the compensation packages Microsoft provides are very good (e.g., health insurance). Additionally, the Redmond campus is beautiful.
There is a lot of bureaucracy, so be prepared. A lot of employees do little to no work and push it onto the members lower in the hierarchy, so it can be very stressful for the lowest member of the team.

I had a coding screen from Codility, a resume/HR round, and three interviews onsite. It was not awful, but the bar has definitely been raised. I think Microsoft is not paying enough for this bar.
