Pros: - Friendly, open work environment (almost everyone is willing to help you out if you have any questions or are stuck). - Good work-life balance. - As an intern, your mentors want you to succeed. - Fellow interns and co-workers are great, and it feels like a small community.

Cons: None as an intern

Pros: MongoDB gives interns the opportunity to work on features that are not only interesting but also have an actual impact on the product. This made the work exciting and exposed me to a lot of challenging technical problems I don't think I would have encountered at most other companies. The people I met there were all very approachable, so whenever I was confused, they were willing to take time out of their day to help. The intern events were also amazing. We got to go on a pizza tour, take trapezing lessons, and go to a Broadway show, etc.

Cons: There's no training program specific to each team for interns, so all the interns get the same general training.

Pros: Working at MongoDB is really a pleasure. Everyone is smart and kind, there is a good work-life balance, and strong management with a solid vision. It's also a great product, and there is a lot of growth opportunity at the company. I especially value working here as a technical communications professional. The product is so deeply technical, and there is an emphasis on getting your hands dirty with the product. Every day I learn something new and interesting.

Cons: As the company continues to grow, there are some process-related growing pains. Some things feel like they take longer or require more bureaucracy than is necessary.
