Senior Database Developer • Current Employee
London, England, United Kingdom
October 5, 2012
Pros: They are proactive in training and trying to give you a work-life balance. Many internal groups you can join, and mentoring is second to none.
Cons: More interaction/communication with different groups. Difficult to ask questions as someone else may be on a priority one task so doesn't have time. This is probably the same at all Investment Banks.

You might end up working with 50-year-old technology.
There are teams that have adopted the latest technology, but not all teams are up to date.
A lot of politics.
