Pros: Relaxed work culture, nice and helpful colleagues, good salary, and good work-life balance.
Cons: Working with legacy code can be challenging. The code base is complicated, with parts that require specific domain knowledge.

Pros: Good money, a great place to be if you are very career-minded. Lots of very intelligent and hard-working people that you can learn from. Not too much corporate bullcrap. For a company of 50,000 strong, it's remarkably nimble.
Cons: Work-life balance is hopeless. This is no different to any other US investment bank, however. If you are a geek that just wants to play with computers, this job will not be for you, as MS expects business-focused people in all support jobs.
And never forget that those that make the money rule the roost. Most of these complaints can be applied to other investment banks, however.
