Great co-workers.
Friendly.
Most of the management was wonderful and quite approachable.
Great benefits.
Great pay.
Bonuses were OK, but iffy at times.
Flexible.
Work from home when needed.
Politics, politics, politics. It is like a Jerry Springer episode on a daily basis there – hard to focus with all the gossip going around.
People constantly complaining. Laziness and co-workers pawning off work to others. No accountability. Unorganized. Unsure of what the next change in the org was going to be – it was so random at times, it was scary to say the least. Training was not consistent – had to beg at times or kiss up to management. Revolving door – many come and go (wonder why?). A lot of unhappy folks in the support organization.
Instead of getting rid of the good management and employees, why not get rid of the senior management that causes the actual problem?
We all know who that group of people are, and you continue to allow great talent to leave and go to competitors because of 3-4 Sr. Managers that are not only useless but clueless.
Please, save the company and the support center by removing those individuals and addressing the true backbone of the center: the support engineers.
They are who carry the org and are the front lines.
Also, please stop removing the good managers just because they stick up for the good people. It is embarrassing to your company in more ways than you think.
In 8 years in the center, nothing has changed; it is still going downhill. Time to re-evaluate.
I've said my piece.

I had a very long phone interview with Director who asked me to come in and interview in person with others. The interview in person consisted of 3 people on potential team, and one manager of sister team. Each person was in the room one at a time, l
I had one telephonic interview which had: * Technical questions about the resume * Best project * How comfortable are you in C programming * Information about the team 7 rounds of on-site interviews: * HR interview * OS concepts and problem-solvin
