Great till mediocre management started to take over
NetApp was a great place to work early on, and the technical people were great to work with. I had some really smart peers and mentors.
Early on, the company was small and had a startup mentality. But after RTP started to expand into the second and third buildings, mediocre management stepped in and really made things backward.
Trim the management fat. There are way too many director and above positions.

Initial telephone screen with a recruiter, followed by a technical conversation with a Senior Escalation Engineer. Invited to in-person interviews with a manager and another technical interview with another Senior Escalation Engineer.

NetApp had an interview day planned. A lot of candidates were from other universities. The event did not involve pre-screening through a telephonic interview. They shortlisted resumes through the career fair at the university.
