No stack ranking, but quarterly layoffs
The product is very interesting.
Management introduced some sort of stack ranking to be enforced by middle management, but I haven't seen anyone being fired because of performance.
Pay was good.
Good reviews from new people.
Bad reviews from tenured people. Management shoves work down our throats and complains that there is no innovation from the bottom up. Most people with institutional knowledge had been laid off. Layoffs in the USA, but still hiring hard elsewhere. Career opportunities are taking the place of someone that has been laid off, so you can be the next one to be laid off. A "pay cut" after the PE acquisition.
