Pros: From the day I started at Notion, I knew I'd made a good choice, as the company is such an impressive assemblage of passionate, smart, kind, and collaborative people who are both extremely invested in building Notion's product vision and a sustainable company. Since I've been here, I've had easy and direct access to executive staff members who have always made me feel safe and heard. I've had the ability to work on problems that are interesting and challenging to me up and down the technical and product stack. I genuinely enjoy my team and coworkers and the vision toward which Notion is building.

Cons: Notion is in hypergrowth, and as such, has some of the standard problems that come along with it—processes, especially around product development, that are either too light from when the company was smaller, or too heavy for where the company wants to be.

Pros: Notion is far and away the best place I've worked! I am genuinely excited to go into work each day 🙂. * Notinos are deeply passionate, ambitious, caring and empathetic, ranging from diverse backgrounds. * Notion has delivered an amazing product with a high quality bar, loved by the community, with really cool impact every day. * There are lots of interesting challenges in the engineering space, including complex product and code and design tradeoffs to tackle. * Notion has an incredible company culture, environment and people teams, and company events. * Notion has fantastic benefits, equity, pay, and more.

Cons: - Notion, like many startups, is not for everyone -- expect to wear lots of hats and step up often in an extremely fast-paced environment. - There's occasional product and design thrash from lots of opinionated, passionate people, which leads to some friction.

Pros: This is one of the best companies that I have worked for, and it's definitely the best startup. * Founders have a clear vision about the product. * The product has a positive social impact, and we use it ourselves and improve it everyday. * Transparency, a friendly working environment, caring about social causes, etc. These are a few aspects holding well as the company grows.

Cons: Bay Area office is in San Francisco. The company has very successful stories with in-person collaboration when it was very small, so we still push towards in-office. Currently there is a plan to be in office two days a week. This can have some uncertainties for some people. * We are growing very fast. There can be a lot of dynamics on organization change or product refocus. * A lot of pieces need a bit of re-architecture to improve dev velocity. We have more people working on these, but it will take some time.
