The technical rounds were really good, with a lot of healthy discussions and knowledge exchange. The technical panel knows how to make you comfortable and get the best out of you.
However, the managerial round was a total disaster. I don't understand why Nutanix is more interested in what year you completed your academics or educational or career gaps, rather than focusing on whether the candidate has the right skill set to perform the given job. My current organization respects my skills more than digging into my academics, which may be totally irrelevant to what my job currently demands.
The interview was primarily focused on vSphere architecture, features, applications, and the in-depth functioning of feature sets such as vSphere HA, vMotion, vmkernel ports, and the storage stack. A basic understanding of networking and operating systems is a must.
