One day after being recommended by a colleague (this is the preferred way to apply), I received an email from HR requesting an initial phone screening.
After the screening, I scheduled a more in-depth phone interview during which I was told that the next step would be to wait for an onsite, face-to-face interview.
The initial phone screening was simply to confirm my information and application. The phone interview was a knowledge check to confirm resume information, and it also seemed like a personality check.
Within a week, I had my onsite, which consisted of a sit-down with three members of the team I would be working with in a very relaxed environment. I had to walk through my resume as well as my interest in the company – normal stuff.
There was also a one-on-one with my potential manager.
After this, I was told to wait for things to be processed and that I would possibly be receiving an offer.
The offer came approximately three weeks after the interview and a day after I touched base with HR (common sense, but you'll want to do this).
Routing and switching. Linux experience. Customer service experience. Personality-related questions.
