It all started with a recruiter on LinkedIn who contacted me. We had a quick call the same day about the company and about 10 questions on networking, Linux, virtualization, and storage.
This then led to a phone interview about two days later, which featured more in-depth questions on those four topics. About four days later, I was invited to an on-site interview with four individual contributors and two managers. They again asked about the same four topics, but much more in-depth.
The managers focused more on my background and the experiences I could bring to the company, while also answering my questions. Finally, about two days later, I had a final phone interview. This interview also covered the four topics and included scenarios simulating potential issues, asking how I would handle them.
Everyone was super friendly and asked questions with a wide range of difficulty to gauge my experience level. They all answered every question I had, providing a good view of what I was getting into. I've never had interviews elsewhere that were so friendly and genuinely cared about giving me the information I needed. I immediately wanted to be part of the company after the whole process.
About two days after the final interview, I was contacted about offer details.
