Process
I applied through an employee referral and interviewed at Nutanix in June 2017. The entire recruiting process was very organized and professional.
The recruiter was amazing – very polite, prompt, and helpful.
The interview process moved fast and took place over two and a half weeks. It included:
- A recruiter phone round
- A technical phone interview
I was then invited for an in-person interview at the San Jose office, where I met with Senior SREs and managers. This was followed by another in-depth technical phone interview.
The people who interviewed me were very friendly, helpful, and considerate.
Questions
Since my background is mainly focused on Networking and Linux, the questions I was asked were based on:
- Switching, L2 networking, and protocols
- VMware ESXi network configuration
- Virtualization and network troubleshooting scenarios
- Linux commands and tools for performance utilization, etc.
They also went through my background and experience, how I deal with customers, and my approach to troubleshooting.
