Systems Reliability Engineer Interview Experience - Vellore, India
Process
I applied through my university, and we had a total of 4 rounds.
- The first round was written, which included 50 MCQs from core computer science subjects such as Networks, Cloud Computing and Virtualization, Linux, OS, Data Structures, etc.
Out of 700+ students, 46 were shortlisted for the interviews the next day.
There were:
- 2 technical interviews
- 1 HR interview
Questions
Mostly, questions came from computer networks, especially from Layer-2 and Layer-3 of the OSI model. There were also many questions about cloud computing and virtualization, as I had informed them that I had studied these as electives.
Questions also covered the VMware vSphere suite, vSphere Client, and ESXi hypervisor (a Type-1 hypervisor that implements full virtualization), as I held a foundation-level certification in vSphere and vSAN.
