Pros

Great health benefits.

Non-managerial colleagues were great to work with.

Cons

Decisions made directly by Support leadership in the last year have led to a steep decline in employee happiness.

They do not support working remotely due to COVID outside of immediate office locations, giving ultimatums to SREs no longer located there.

Faced with increased need on the weekends, SREs are forced to work ~4 weekends per quarter with no intention of hiring staff dedicated to cover weekend shifts.

The unlimited PTO policy comes second to Support's need for coverage, meaning that requests must be submitted far in advance and could still be denied.

The amount of PTO taken is closely monitored and scrutinized over time.

Advice to Management

Listen to SREs who bring up issues and concerns. Seek input on decisions affecting our immediate work before implementing them.
