Software Engineer III Interview Experience - Guadalajara, Mexico
Process
This is a very long process; you had better have time.
Normally, you are interviewed by someone from the MDC. They will ask some algorithm questions before you move forward with the project lead or owner in the USA.
The interview feedback is usually rapid, but the time between interviews and when you get an offer, and even when you start working, can be really long.
Questions
1st round: Algorithms questions. Compress and uncompress a string.
2nd, etc.: Questions specific to the project, in my case about middleware systems.

Oracle Work Experiences
- 3.0Kind of good in GuadalajaraSoftware Engineer III • Current EmployeeGuadalajara, Jalisco, MexicoDecember 20, 2016Pros: Some projects are interesting. The work-life balance is good. HR and social are great; they do their best to make it a great place to work.Cons: No organic growth. If a position that would be a growth opportunity for an employee is open, they will hire someone instead of growing the employee. You get hired for something that you will probably not end up doing. Some management doesn't have the experience.
- 3.0Flexible Hours, No Salary GrowthSoftware Engineer III • Former EmployeeGuadalajara, Jalisco, MexicoAugust 21, 2025Pros: Tiempo flexible. Carga liviana de trabajo.Cons: No existe manera de incrementar salario. Path de carrera lento o inexistente.
- 5.0Good to learn; payment increment too slowSoftware Engineer III • Current EmployeeGuadalajara, Jalisco, MexicoMarch 18, 2025Pros: A good place to work on state-of-the-art projects and learn from senior engineers around the globe.Cons: The amount of responsibilities might push/invite you to go on low work-life balance, and payment in return goes slow. Due to contact with multiple region teams (India, Europe, America) at the same time, it might involve you in constant meetings on not usual hours (after 9 p.m.).
