The process began with a phone call, lasting about an hour. It focused on simple C++ questions with little discussion of my work habits.
Next was the onsite interview, a five-hour marathon with five different interviewers. Some of these interviews were very friendly and pleasant. However, the other half were mean and condescending. It seemed as though the interviewers didn't want to be there or engage in conversation. They relentlessly asked question after question, leaving no time to breathe. Many of the questions were difficult, featuring a lot of left-field algorithms and nitty-gritty C++ topics rarely used in real-life scenarios.
I left the building feeling very tired and discouraged. It was not a great experience.
