Process
The interview process was pretty smooth overall. I met really nice people and had a great interview experience. The only downside was how long it took to go from the first step to the onsite, which was about 1.5 months. I guess that just comes with the size of such a large company.
The steps were as follows:
- Phone screen with the recruiter (~15 minutes)
- Phone screen with the Hiring Manager (~1 hour): Personality fit/behavioral + resume
- HackerRank Challenge (3 hours): Algo question
- Phone screen with an Engineer (1 hour): Algo and databases
- Onsite (6 interviews: 2 behavioral and 4 technical): Total 5.5 hours with a behavioral interview over lunch.
An offer was received within 1 week of the onsite.

Prepare for Politics

Pros: Salesforce has great pay. On the tech side, you can also get decent experience in AWS.
Cons: Politicking does occur. You will be denied a promotion if the wrong person says no, regardless of how many say yes. You will be told to do what you can, but get hints to work 60+ hour weeks. And my favorite: having people labeled as architects make decisions that are not grounded in anything other than hopes and dreams, without any real forethought.

Cons: No innovation, especially on the engineering side.

Lacks RSU, but overall a nice company to work for

Pros: Ohana culture. Excellent work-life balance and ability to move around teams is a great perk to have.
Cons: Stingy about giving RSUs. There is no incentive for folks to stay at Salesforce if their compensation is falling behind.
