The first round was a general discussion with HR.
The second round was another discussion to understand my skills and evaluate whether they and my profile matched the job requirements.
During the second round, I was surprised to see that the interview questions were completely irrelevant to the job profile. After the interview process, I wrote to the Human Resources team about the irrelevant questions.
Additionally, incident response was nowhere mentioned in the job description when I applied. The complete job description was about a DevSecOps Engineer. Incident response specialization is completely different from a DevSecOps Engineer. However, the HR team did not respond to my email.
Overall, the interview process was very disappointing. I never expected such irrelevant interview questions from Slack. If they intended to reject my profile, they could have done so directly. I wonder why they organized such a fake interview process just to waste time and disappoint the candidate with irrelevant questions.
Do you have experience working with an Incident Response Team? This is a mandatory requirement for this role.
