Build Reliability Engineer Interview Experience - Hawthorne, California

Process

A recruiter contacted me and promptly called me for a phone screening.

Two more phone screenings followed: one with the Hiring Manager and another with a member of the team for the role. These involved basic questions about my experience, with some deeper dives into a few specific areas.

An on-site invitation was then given. The on-site interview began with an initial presentation to eight people in the room, including a VP. This presentation involved questions probing my knowledge and my role on the project, as well as questions about my thought process on different decisions.

Following the presentation, I proceeded to six individual interviews with each of the presentation attendees, excluding the VP.

Questions

If a tapered shaft has a torque applied to the larger end, and the stress on the shaft is to remain uniform throughout the cross section, how will the thickness change from the large end to the small end?
