I was contacted by an engineer via email directly for the technical interview. They took a lot of time to schedule one interview after many follow-ups. Finally, on the day, they asked questions about my experience and one technical question. I solved the question in a way that was not acceptable to the interviewers because she wanted me to solve it using only one pointer, and I solved it using two pointers. Although I had the solution, she didn't seem happy, and I was expecting a rejection. There are many ways in which you can solve a problem; you can't say only one is right. Also, she was least interested in telling me about the role or the team.
