Pros: Great location, friendly New Yorkers, great cross between art/media & technology, fire CEO.

Cons: Bagel Fridays only on Fridays.

Pros: I love working at Vimeo. My colleagues are awesome, and it's a very healthy workplace. Great culture, nice people, and a fun product to work on. Overall, the best tech company I've worked at.

Cons: There have been two rounds of layoffs in the past year that have created a lot of stress among employees. I know it's a larger trend in the tech industry right now, but it's disappointing to see it happen at Vimeo when the company is already in a good place financially. It sucks to constantly be wondering when another round is coming and if you might be next.

Pros: The work is challenging, interesting, and moves at a fast pace. For me, that is fun and is the reason I enjoy software development. Pees in my group are smart, and everyone has something great to bring to the table, which helps foster knowledge growth. Benefits are good: company outings and parties, free snacks, a decent amount of time off, 401k, etc. Everything you would expect for when working for a company that has startup roots but is backed by a bigger corporation.

Cons: Occasionally, the lox cream cheese spread runs out before I arrive in the morning. As such, I am forced to use regular cream cheese or one of the many other artisanal cream cheese spreads.
