I think the compensation was fair. I really valued my WFH position, flexible work schedule, and my immediate co-workers.
There was a lot of pressure to get things done fast and work extra hours.
I spent a ton of time reviewing and fixing code that contractors wrote, who received a ton of credit for their contributions.
The culture was absolute trash; it was nothing but work and deadlines. Very few people tried to create team bonds, although one or two did.
Performance does not matter; you will not be rewarded for doing a good job. As soon as our team completed the basic features of our critical platform app, three-fourths of the engineers were let go.
The push for RTO is ridiculous. They want you to sit in traffic for two hours a day to sit in an open office and be distracted, while still having every meeting virtually.

They cut all DEI programs years ago, along with anyone who spoke up about ethical questions. I've witnessed blatant racism and othering, and leadership only gave lip service to inclusion in order to make themselves look good and make more money.
You are a wannabe Elon. Give up. You are not important, and the jobs you create are short-term and not nearly as valuable as you believe. Your product is bad, both for consumers and the environment. Boston doesn't need you, and you have not brought value to our city, but certainly made traffic worse and things more expensive. I will not remember my time here fondly.

Initial round with Karat: 1 coding question (easy-medium LeetCode) 4-5 system design questions. Onsite: 4 rounds: - Coding - OOPs - Behavioral - System Design The interview itself is easy, but there are too many requirements in the design question.
Received a call from a recruiter that lasted about one hour. She went on and on discussing the company; it sounded like they are having a tough time attracting people, perhaps due to a bad work-life balance. She kept giving me the runaround when I
