Cons

I am not even sure where to begin, and I really hope someone at a higher level takes a look at this post for the company's sake, at the least.

First off, there is a lot of bias between non-favorites (who stand up for what is right) and favorites (who butter up the management, AKA tech managers and VP).

Recognition awards have lost their value since they do not make any sense at all.

Attrition rate is at an all-time high, and I have seen people resigning at an alarming rate.

You will be shocked to see the people who get hired, including contractors (most of them housewives with no knowledge of QA at all), but then those who take the interview are equally bad!

There is a very, very biased view when it comes to working from home, where some folks get all the space they need, and some are not even under the same management!

While UAT folks are encouraged to work two days from home (including contractors, YES!), QA folks just a floor down can work only a single day from home except contractors (it seems like they don't care, which is sad).

The list goes on and on, and the entire CCC QA has lost its charm, and clearly, there is a need for an overhaul!

Advice to Management

Please, please wake up! Recognize folks who are sincere and give their best, no matter rain or shine.

Stop the bias! Try to see the potential in people who stand up for what is right.

Please stop using the company recognition awards for your own needs. Recognize folks who are sincere and honest.

A leader is someone who commands respect. That respect needs to come from within and cannot be forced.

Try to resolve your differences within your team before it becomes an open secret.

Lastly, do not hijack company policies to fit your own personal needs. It is as much "my company" as it is your company. You are an employee, and I am an employee too!
