Process

I applied through a referral, and the entire process was quick and smooth. The recruiter was extremely accommodating and helped me prep for each step. She was also available and thorough with my questions when I was debating offers.

The interview process consisted of:

  1. Call with the recruiter to discuss the process and learn high-level information about the company.
  2. Call with the hiring manager to discuss the role and expectations.
  3. Another touchpoint with the recruiter, who sent case study prompts prior to the "onsite" so I could prepare for a discussion.
  4. A three-part "onsite" interview. These were all discussion-based, with whiteboarding available if desired. Conversations with each interviewer were collaborative and natural.
  5. A 30-minute chat with someone in leadership for more of a culture fit with Whatnot's principles.
  6. (If an offer was extended) A final touchpoint with the hiring manager to ask any last questions.

Overall, it was one of my better interview experiences, with the discussions and preparation provided.
