Sr Associate Software Development Engineer Interview Experience - Beaverton, Oregon

Process

First, a recruiter screen. The recruiter didn't know anything about technical skills and wasn't sure if the position was open for sponsorship. I was put on hold for two weeks to get this information. Then, a hiring manager round. The hiring manager seemed least interested and didn't answer any questions I asked at the end. I am well over the experience level for this role, and the tech stack was aligned. The sponsorship aspect became clear later. The hiring manager rejected my application. They play favorites and are very biased. This is demotivating. The process was very laid-back and slow overall. It took four weeks just to schedule two rounds, and these weren't even actual interviews. This is quite a joke, especially considering it's an immediate position. Avoid at all costs. It's a waste of time and not worth it.
