Description For Software Engineer II, Cloud Infrastructure

Abnormal AI, a rapidly growing cybersecurity company, is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Cloud Infrastructure team. This role is crucial in managing the company's public cloud presence and ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient cloud operations. The position offers a competitive salary range of $148,800 - $175,000 USD and is fully remote within the USA.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of DevOps experience, with strong expertise in AWS, Linux systems, and programming in Python or Golang. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining cloud management systems, implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions, and providing guidance to other engineering teams on cloud best practices.

  • Work with AWS, Azure, and other cloud providers to enable secure, repeatable, and reliable cloud usage
  • Apply and drive adoption of DevOps principles across the organization
  • Ensure efficient use of public cloud technologies for cost and time
  • Build cloud management systems using Python and/or Golang
  • Provide guidance and support to internal engineering teams
  • Introduce and own new features to existing systems
  • Manage time and commitments
  • Communicate clearly, both synchronously and asynchronously
