Absa Group Limited, one of Africa's largest diversified financial services groups, is seeking a Senior .NET Software Developer to join their CIB Corporate Technology team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining applications on the Salesforce Platform, which manages essential operations across various business areas including Coverage Banking, Product houses, and Markets businesses.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated Salesforce team of Full-stack Developers, Data Engineers, and Configuration Specialists. You'll be responsible for developing custom functionality on the Salesforce platform and configuring it to meet diverse business needs. The role requires expertise in .NET development, with opportunities to grow in areas such as Architecture, Integration specialization, and Full-stack Development.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years of hands-on .NET development experience. You should be proficient in object-oriented design, familiar with modern web technologies, and have strong experience in automated testing and CI/CD practices. The role involves working in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in all phases of the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities For Software Developer (.Net)
- Code and test software applications according to specifications
- Implement automated testing
- Develop programs for automated output
- Deploy software via CI/CD or manual approved processes
- Engage with end users for requirements gathering and training
- Utilize Agile Methodology and deliver on user stories
- Perform technical scheduled maintenance
- Contribute to all phases of development lifecycle
- Produce well-organized and documented source code
- Debug existing code and optimize feature sets
- Support reviews and performance monitoring
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Participate in incident management and DR activities
Requirements For Software Developer (.Net)
- Relevant B-Degree in Computer Science preferred but not essential
- 5+ years Information Technology experience
- 3+ years hands on .Net Software development experience
- Experience in automated testing, building and designing
- Excellent communication, analytical skills and decision making ability
- Solid understanding of Object Oriented Design
- Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- Experience with unit testing frameworks
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
