Senior Software Engineer, CSP

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Community Support Platform (CSP) organization, specifically working on the AI Assistant Product Evaluation team within the Core Machine Learning team. This role is at the intersection of Machine Learning and Customer Support, focusing on driving CSxAI initiatives through Generative AI implementation.

The position involves developing and optimizing scalable engineering evaluation solutions for Airbnb's Generative AI products. You'll be working with a cross-functional team of engineers specializing in machine learning, Conversational AI, and backend development to shape the future of Airbnb's Community Support experience. The role requires expertise in productionizing and optimizing machine learning models, particularly LLM-as-a-Judge systems, and building evaluation frameworks for Conversational AI products.

As a senior engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines, collaborating with infrastructure teams, and working closely with machine learning engineers to resolve scalability challenges. The position requires strong technical skills in Python/Java, experience with data engineering, and understanding of machine learning systems.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $191,000 to $223,000 USD, plus potential bonus, equity, and Employee Travel Credits. This is a remote position within the US, though it may require occasional office visits or offsite meetings. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of industry experience, strong programming skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
