Staff Software Engineer, Guest Displays & Platforms

Airbnb is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Guest Displays & Platforms team, a crucial component of their guest experience infrastructure. This role combines both frontend and backend expertise, focusing on pricing and availability systems across all product surfaces and the main product details page (PDP). The position offers an opportunity to shape the technical vision of major subsystems powering core user journeys for Airbnb guests.

The role involves leading development of new features, supporting operations, and building systems to enhance development efficiency and quality. As a Staff Engineer, you'll be responsible for establishing technical vision and delivering scalable solutions that meet business needs. The position requires expertise in both backend systems and frontend development, particularly with React.

The team's work directly impacts how millions of guests interact with Airbnb's platform, computing and presenting prices based on host settings, platform fees, and taxes, while managing availability through host settings and policy-based controls.
