Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an Entry-Level Embedded Software Development Engineer to join their Avionics Software department in Toulouse, France. This role is part of the Aircraft Flight controls & monitoring team, focusing on developing critical flight control computer systems across all Airbus programs. The position offers an opportunity to work on certifiable software products that must comply with stringent airworthiness rules and industrial constraints.

The Avionics Software department serves as an in-house supplier of avionics equipment and simulators, responsible for the design, development, production, and support of critical on-board products. As a Chamber of Reference on Software and Electronics, the department leverages experienced teams to deliver high-quality solutions for flight controls, flight alerting, communication, and maintenance equipment.

The role involves working in an agile organization with dynamic assignments, interfacing between major customers (aircraft system, product design, tests center, support) and various competence centers. You'll be responsible for software development following the V cycle, from specifications to integration/validation, ensuring compliance with DO178 certification standards. The position also includes providing technical support and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements For Embedded Software Development Engineer - Flight Controls - Entry-level developer

  • Operating system, Computers architecture, Processors architecture knowledge
  • Critical Real-Time embedded software development experience
  • Understanding of certification for embedded software (DO178-C, DAL-A to DAL D, DO330)
  • C programming in embedded context
  • Software engineering methods and tools (DEVOPS environment)
  • Advanced level of English and French
  • Good communication skills and team working ability
