Airwallex, a leading unified payments and financial platform valued at US$5.6 billion, is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer for their Expenses team in San Francisco. This role offers a competitive salary range of $120K-$200K plus equity and bonus opportunities.

As a Frontend Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing and implementing user-friendly web interfaces for their procurement offerings using React and TypeScript. You'll work within a diverse engineering team of 1,700+ professionals across 37 global locations, focusing on building scalable, reliable, and secure products that empower businesses to operate globally.

The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies including Micro Frontends and Apollo GraphQL, while collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers. You'll contribute to the team's design system, participate in code reviews, and help shape engineering standards.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer (Frontend), Expenses

  • Implement and maintain frontend features using React and TypeScript
  • Contribute to the development of Micro Frontends following a domain-based design approach
  • Work with product managers and designers to clarify feature requirements
  • Use Apollo GraphQL to integrate with backend services via a Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layer
  • Collaborate with designers to implement and improve shared UI components
  • Participate in team code reviews and help triage bugs
  • Engage in ongoing learning via Frontend Guild discussions
  • Partner with backend engineers and product teams to deliver user experience

Requirements For Software Engineer (Frontend), Expenses
