Responsibilities For Jira/Atlassian System Engineer

  • Ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of custom-built addons and plugins
  • Administer, enhance, and optimize Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) and SQL databases
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts using Adaptavist ScriptRunner and Groovy
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Provide technical support and solutions to development teams
  • Collaborate with the Atlassian Change Committee on system changes
  • Install, update, and maintain Atlassian services in Linux and Windows environments
  • Build workflows and automation for self-serve Atlassian product usage

Requirements For Jira/Atlassian System Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience with Atlassian products
  • Proficiency in Git and experience in designing CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Groovy, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Strong programming skills in Java or Python
  • Experience with Linux and Windows servers
  • Experience with databases like MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
  • Expertise with REST APIs and integration development
