Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer II (Engineering & Tooling)
- Design, implement, and maintain security systems and tooling across infrastructure
- Conduct architecture reviews and threat modeling for new and existing services
- Deploy and manage advanced security tools (SIEM, EDR, DLP, vulnerability management, firewalls)
- Engineer solutions to integrate security tooling across cloud environments
- Lead evaluation and implementation of new security technologies
- Develop secure configurations for operating systems, applications, and networking equipment
- Automate security processes using scripting languages and tools
- Conduct security assessments and manage vulnerability programs
- Provide technical leadership and coach junior team members
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer II (Engineering & Tooling)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in security engineering
- Strong understanding of Threat Modeling Principles
- Experience with Security Incident Response & Risk Management
- Expertise with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools
- Proficiency in securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with automation tools IAC and CI/CD
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and container security
- Proven track record in incident response and forensic investigations
- Security certifications (CISSP, GSEC, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or equivalent)
