Automation Engineer

Alfa Laval, a global leader in heat transfer, separation, and fluid handling technologies since 1883, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team in Stockholm. This role focuses on working with high-speed separators used in biotech, pharma, protein, brew, and beverage production industries. The position offers a unique blend of technical challenges and customer interaction, where you'll be responsible for designing and implementing automation solutions for critical industrial processes.

The role involves programming PLC systems, testing automation systems, developing standards, and providing technical support across the project lifecycle. You'll be working with advanced technology in a collaborative environment that values innovation and continuous improvement. The position requires approximately 15 days of international travel annually and will be based in the new Flemingsberg office starting Spring 2025.

As an ideal candidate, you should have a university degree in automation or electrical engineering, strong experience with PLC programming (especially Siemens and Allen Bradley), and familiarity with industry standards like S88 or GAMP5.
