AWS Utility Computing (UC) is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer for their Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) team within Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI). This role focuses on supporting AWS customers requiring specialized security solutions for cloud services.

The position requires deep expertise in Windows Active Directory and desktop services, including virtual desktop infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing services, managing Windows build/deployment capabilities, and ensuring security compliance across desktop environments.

As part of AWS UC, you'll contribute to foundational services like Amazon S3 and EC2, while working on innovative solutions that differentiate AWS in the industry. The role offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge technology while supporting critical infrastructure for government clients.

Key responsibilities include managing Active Directory and related systems, implementing security compliance measures, and providing technical leadership for junior team members. The position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities For ADC Windows Client Engineer, Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) - Vector

  • Manage/Operate and Maintain Active Directory and component systems (DNS, DHCP, NPS, Exchange)
  • Security compliance including hardening OS and desktop applications
  • Manage metrics and monitoring services
  • Create and update system documentation for engineering, operations, and support teams

Requirements For ADC Windows Client Engineer, Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) - Vector

  • Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP certification
  • 1+ years administering Active Directory Windows based networks
  • Knowledge of networking basic skills and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of Windows environment using PowerShell
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
