Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join their Professional Services team, focusing on implementing cutting-edge AI/ML solutions for enterprise customers. This role combines technical expertise in machine learning with customer-facing responsibilities, making it ideal for professionals who excel both in technical implementation and business communication.

The position involves working at the forefront of Machine Learning and AI, particularly with Generative AI algorithms to solve real-world problems with significant impact. You'll be handling massive amounts of data to develop Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) models, while helping the fastest growing and largest global enterprises derive business value through AI adoption.

As an AI/ML Engineer, you'll collaborate with scientists, engineers, and architects to research, design, and evaluate AI/ML algorithms. Your responsibilities include direct customer interaction to understand business challenges, implement solutions, and guide customers on adoption patterns. You'll establish scalable processes for large-scale data analyses and model development, while creating best practice recommendations and technical content.

The role requires significant experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering, along with expertise in Python and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and MXNet. Strong data engineering skills and communication abilities are essential, as you'll be working directly with customers and delivering professional services.

Responsibilities For AI/ML Engineer, Professional Services

  • Collaborate with AI/ML scientists, engineers, and architects to research, design, develop, and evaluate AI/ML algorithms
  • Interact with customers directly to understand business problems and implement AI/ML solutions
  • Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses and model development
  • Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, and presentations
  • Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams
  • Travel to client locations and deliver professional services as needed

Requirements For AI/ML Engineer, Professional Services

Python
  • Significant years of industry experience building models for business applications and experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering
  • Experience in algorithms, data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing
  • Experience in using Python and hands-on experience building models with deep learning frameworks
  • Experience using machine learning libraries like scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, MLlib
  • Strong data engineering skills and communication and Data & AIML presentation skills
  • PhD or Masters degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or highly quantitative field (preferred)
  • 7+ years of industry experience in predictive modeling and analysis (preferred)
  • Prior experience in training and fine-tuning of LLMs (preferred)
  • Strong AWS Infrastructure and Automation skills (preferred)
