Anti-DDoS Software Development Engineer, Blackwatch Customer Security

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking an Anti-DDoS Software Development Engineer to join their Blackwatch Customer Security team. This role is part of the frontline defense against DDoS threats worldwide, protecting all Amazon & AWS customers and services. The position requires expertise in developing highly scalable and performant architectures that evolve to counter emerging threats.

The ideal candidate will bring strong programming skills in JAVA and Python, with a technical background in networking or DPDK framework being advantageous but not required. The role involves complex problem-solving in computer networking, deep packet analysis, and low-level systems programming. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

As part of AWS Infrastructure Services, you'll work alongside diverse teams of software engineers, security experts, and other professionals who maintain and operate AWS's global infrastructure. The team is responsible for keeping the cloud running, managing all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, and associated equipment. This ensures customers have continuous access to AWS services while maintaining the highest standards of safety and security.
