Central Operations (CO) is a dynamic team at Amazon Logistics focused on developing scalable solutions for managing complex last-mile delivery networks. The team is responsible for critical processes including route planning, scheduling, forecasting, and on-road management. As a Business Intel Engineer I, you'll join a team that continuously transforms these processes in scalable ways.
You'll work on developing analytical solutions and improving processes and technology within Central Operations. This role requires excellence in a high-ambiguity environment, where you'll think big and develop original ideas. You'll collaborate directly with Transportation, Last Mile Tech, Operations, and Business Development teams to expand Central Operations capabilities.
Key responsibilities include defining program objectives, analyzing data to drive metric-based improvements, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. You'll work closely with various teams to solve complex problems related to system capability and reliability. The role involves extensive use of AWS technologies and programming languages to build analytical solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience with scripting languages like Python or Java, and familiarity with AWS tools including Redshift, S3, SageMaker, EMR, and Lambda. Strong communication skills in both English and Japanese are essential, as you'll be working with diverse team members and contributing to an inclusive culture.
