It's time to make purchasing with the help of Alexa trivially easy, and delight customers at the level of a knowledgeable, personal shopping assistant that helps them save time and money. It's time to leverage big data and machine learning to generate relevant and trustworthy recommendations for billions of shopping journeys through billions of products, and to make it easy and natural for customers to discover those recommendations.

Alexa Shopping BI Team's vision is to empower Alexa Shopping teams by (i) providing BI capabilities that support measuring, understanding and assessing key inputs / outputs related to business decisions and (ii) uncovering actionable insights to address challenging business questions.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with Alexa Shopping Product Managers, Software Development Managers and Software Development Engineers to gather requirements and help identifying the right technical artifact, while ensuring prioritization and transparent communication.
  • Work closely with Data Engineering to ensure high quality instrumentation that allows to analyze trends and metrics at the most granular level.
  • Build scalable solutions, using analytics tools and languages (notably SQL), to provide data and KPIs to inform business decision through streamlined reporting and visualization/reporting tools such as Quicksight.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create additional metrics and processes based on program changes and customer requirements.
  • Perform quantitative analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will help shape Alexa Shopping product roadmap.
  • Help defining and analyzing A/B testing, ensuring statistical significance and educating stakeholders to properly interpret results.
  • Collaborate with finance as a leader of ongoing analytical support.
