Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their supply chain team. This role combines data engineering and analytics to support AMXL's white glove delivery service for large items like TVs and furniture. The position involves working with cross-functional teams to develop metrics, mine data for insights, and drive business decisions.

The role sits within AMXL's unique end-to-end business model, spanning from procurement to customer returns. You'll be part of the TransAnalytics team, working closely with Product/Program, Operations, Finance, and staffing teams to make data-driven decisions that impact all aspects of fulfillment post-order placement.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining KPIs, designing reporting solutions, building data infrastructure, and driving operational improvements. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data analysis, SQL, Python, and visualization tools like Tableau or Quicksight.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, AMXL (Amazon Extra Large) Trans Analytics

  • Work backwards from success criteria of key strategic initiatives and create KPIs to track overall status of the program
  • Design and implement reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions
  • Create robust and scalable data infrastructure to retrieve and analyze data
  • Monitor existent dashboards, metrics, analyzing data and partnering with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities
  • Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of the existent program implementation
  • Drive small to medium operational enhancement projects

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, AMXL (Amazon Extra Large) Trans Analytics

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
