Join Amazon's Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) team as a Business Intelligence Engineer where you'll play a crucial role in analyzing and delivering insights to enhance customer service. CXBT is a diverse global organization dedicated to understanding and improving customer experience across all Amazon businesses. As a BIE, you'll work with complex datasets, develop scalable solutions, and drive data-driven decisions that directly impact customer experiences. You'll collaborate with a diverse team including Product Managers, Computer Vision experts, Data Scientists, and more. The role combines technical expertise in data analysis, statistical methods, and visualization with business acumen to influence product and service offerings. You'll have the opportunity to work on projects that affect various customer segments - from consumers to developers, sellers, employees, and gamers. The position offers the chance to innovate, build new methodologies, and make recommendations that drive meaningful improvements in customer experience at a global scale.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, Customer Experience and Business Trends

  • Own, design, develop, document, and manage scalable solutions for new and ongoing analyses metrics, reports, and dashboards
  • Identify new data sources and invent new methodologies to understand and drive improved customer experiences
  • Drive efforts to simplify, automate, and standardize processes across the team
  • Clearly articulate assumptions, methodologies, results, and implications
  • Present deep dives and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Perform statistical tests including hypothesis testing and A/B testing

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Customer Experience and Business Trends

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse
  • Scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
  • Experience in using Statistical methods to solve specific business problems
