Description For Business Intelligence Engineer, DSP Analytics

Amazon's DSP Analytics team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to enhance the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program through data-driven solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with business acumen to drive improvements in last-mile delivery operations.

The position involves:

  • Leading end-to-end BI solution design and implementation for DSP Performance
  • Managing complex data projects from conception to delivery
  • Building and maintaining automated reporting systems and dashboards
  • Working with various Amazon data technologies including Redshift, AWS S3
  • Collaborating with engineering teams, product managers, and leadership
  • Developing self-serve data solutions and reporting frameworks

You'll be part of the core Amazon DSP BI team, focused on enabling data-driven decision-making. The team is relatively new, offering opportunities to work on greenfield projects without legacy constraints. The role requires expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL pipelines, and visualization tools like Tableau or Quicksight.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, DSP Analytics

  • Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions for DSP Performance
  • Manage end-to-end projects including stakeholder management and data analysis
  • Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources
  • Design and maintain automated reporting and dashboards
  • Report key insight trends using statistical analysis

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, DSP Analytics

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse
  • Scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
