Amazon is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their EU Merchant Fulfillment Network team. This role combines technical expertise in data analysis with business impact, supporting Amazon's vision of being earth's most customer-centric company. The position involves working with large-scale data to surface key insights that drive decision-making for the merchant fulfillment program.

The role requires strong analytical skills, with a focus on SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Tableau and QuickSight. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing reporting solutions, developing metrics, and conducting statistical analysis to identify trends and opportunities. The position involves working closely with program managers and stakeholders to communicate insights and drive results.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, EU MFN

  • Design and implement reporting solutions enabling program and product managers to make effective decisions
  • Monitor existing metrics, develop and propose new metrics, and identify new, actionable insights
  • Develop, validate, and maintain recurring or ad hoc reports using SQL, Excel and/or other scripting languages
  • Conduct audits and build insightful visualizations using Tableau, QuickSight, etc.
  • Perform statistical analysis, identify trends and make recommendations based on data analysis

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, EU MFN

Python
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse
  • Experience with Python to process data for modeling
  • Experience in the data/BI space
