The EU Network Planning and Capacity team is responsible for planning the European transportation network, forecasting, planning, and optimizing the flow of billions of parcels each year. As a Business Intelligence Engineer in Network Optimization, you will work on key projects for Amazon across planning and capacity optimization to deliver the best customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building simulation tools to understand how one of the most complex networks in the world will function under different scenarios
- Developing reports and analyses using Redshift, SQL, Excel, Tableau, and other data management systems
- Identifying opportunities to improve forecast accuracy
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to make data-driven decisions
- Providing sophisticated yet easy-to-understand analyses to help teams prepare for and respond to uncertainty
The ideal candidate will have:
- Advanced knowledge of SQL/Redshift, Tableau, R, Python, or Visual Basic
- Experience in data analysis and visualization in a business setting
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and make timely decisions
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (preferred)
- Project management experience in a related industry (preferred)
