As a Business Intelligence Engineer II, you'll be part of the AIR Data, Analytics and Business Intelligence team, driving data-driven decisions and empowering the business with actionable insights. This role combines technical expertise in data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence with strategic thinking to support Amazon Air's operations.

You'll work on complex data problems, designing and implementing data integration processes, building ETL pipelines, and creating sophisticated dashboards and visualizations. The position requires strong SQL and Python skills, experience with BI tools, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure they can make informed decisions based on real data.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer II, Amazon Air

  • Gather data from various sources (databases, APIs, files, etc.)
  • Design and implement data integration processes
  • Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
  • Write complex SQLs to convert raw data to meaningful metrics
  • Design and create reports and dashboards using BI tools
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements
  • Ensure data security and compliance with regulations
  • Create and maintain documentation for data models, processes, and reports
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and technical issues

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer II, Amazon Air

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python)
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
