Business Intelligence Engineer II, Veritas

Amazon Security (AmSec) is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer II to join their Veritas team, focusing on resource and application discovery within Amazon's security infrastructure. This role combines data engineering and business intelligence to support critical security initiatives.

The position involves working with a diverse, global security team spanning ten countries, supporting various security functions including intelligence, application security, incident response, and compliance. You'll be handling large-scale data processing (1TB+ daily) using AWS services like EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift, and working with a data lake containing 500+ datasets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and influencing data strategy and storage roadmap
• Leading data governance initiatives and schema design
• Building end-to-end data pipelines
• Implementing AI/LLM automation for data engineering tasks
• Optimizing large dataset processing using various big-data technologies
• Writing high-performance SQL queries
