Responsibilities For Cloud Support Engineer - ETL, Support Engineering

  • Support customers running ETL workload or analyzing large amounts of data using AWS services
  • Work with services such as Glue, Athena, and Managed Workflows of Apache Airflow
  • Troubleshoot ETL job issues
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to customers
  • Partner with Amazon Web Services teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues
  • Drive customer communication during critical events
  • Write tutorials, how-to videos, and technical articles
  • Work on complex customer problems spanning multiple AWS services

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer - ETL, Support Engineering

  • 2+ years of experience in big data/Hadoop with excellent knowledge of Hadoop architecture and administration and support
  • Ability to read java code, and basic coding/scripting ability in Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP
  • Database experience (MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL)
  • Good understanding of distributed computing environments
  • Excellent Linux/Unix system administrator skills
  • Advanced SQL and query performance tuning skills
  • Understanding of ETL principles
  • Master's degree in relevant field OR Bachelor's degree with 1+ year experience
