Description For Cloud Support Engineer II - Developer and Mobile Services (DMS)

Join AWS Support Engineering as a Cloud Support Engineer II specializing in Developer and Mobile Services (DMS). In this role, you'll be at the forefront of cloud technology, supporting AWS mobile technologies (Device Farm, Pinpoint) and serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, Step functions). You'll work in a dynamic, follow-the-sun model environment, helping global companies leverage AWS services for their mission-critical applications.

As a Cloud Ambassador across AWS products, you'll help customers succeed by providing technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and developing solutions. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in mobile services and serverless architectures, some of the fastest-growing areas in tech.

The role combines technical expertise with customer service, requiring strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. You'll contribute to improving support processes, create technical content, and mentor team members. Working with a global customer base, you'll gain extensive experience across various AWS services while helping shape the future of cloud computing.

Responsibilities For Cloud Support Engineer II - Developer and Mobile Services (DMS)

  • Solve customer cases through various contact channels (telephone, email, web/chat)
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions
  • Drive initiatives to improve support processes and customer experience
  • Provide feedback to internal AWS teams on service improvements
  • Work on complex customer problems across multiple AWS services
  • Learn new technologies and develop technical skills
  • Act as interviewer and mentor new team members
  • Work 5 days a week on a rotational basis (including weekends)

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer II - Developer and Mobile Services (DMS)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics or related field or equivalent military experience
  • 3+ years of related professional experience
  • Experience with system administration and troubleshooting (Linux and/or Windows)
  • Networking knowledge (HTTP/s, TCP/IP, DNS, OSI model, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN)
  • Experience in modern programming languages (Java, C++, Python, Javascript, .NET, PHP or Ruby)
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems
  • Experience working with HTTP and troubleshooting API calls
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
